This website provides access to the following information about each academic degree program, as well as information about the General Education program and the five units comprising Campus Life:
- expected learning outcomes for the program
- assessment activities relating to those outcomes
- assessment findings
- changes made on the basis of assessment findings
In addition to outcomes assessment activities, most departments conduct or participate in a variety of additional assessments, including and going well beyond teacher-course evaluations and student surveys. Most departments assess aspects of student recruitment, persistence, satisfaction, and post-graduation success. This website focuses on assessment of student learning, reflecting the importance the University of Arizona places on this aspect of our mission. We believe that both students and faculty benefit when learning outcomes are clearly stated, and used as a guide to curriculum development, teaching, and learning.
